Nature

Most of what the natural world does, it does without an audience. Nature photography is the practice of closing that distance — of looking closely enough that the overlooked becomes undeniable.

The Approach

The Small
and the
Easily Missed.

Nature photography at its most interesting is not the dramatic vista — it is the thing at your feet that most people step over. Texture in bark. Light through a single leaf. The geometry of a spider web at a specific angle in a specific hour. Detail that only becomes visible when you stop moving.

This is slow work. It rewards the photographer who is willing to get low, stay still, and wait. The camera reveals what patience earns, and what patience earns is usually something that has always been there but has never been seen.

The nature series is an ongoing record of proximity — of what the world looks like when you choose to look at it closely rather than broadly.
