Sessions
Creative Photography
Without Limits
Conceptual work that lives between fine art and commercial photography. If the image you want does not fit a standard session category — if it starts with an idea rather than a subject — this is the session for it.
The Work
Concept First.
Camera Second.
Creative sessions are built backwards from a concept rather than forwards from a camera setup. The idea determines the location, lighting, styling, post-production requirements, and session structure. Everything on the day is in service of one thing — executing the image that was planned.
The pre-session process is more intensive than a standard portrait or lifestyle session because it has to be. Concepts that are not developed before the session do not get better on the day. The consultation works through the visual direction, references, technical requirements, and deliverables before anything is scheduled.
What We Make
Three Formats
Conceptual
Image-making that begins with an idea rather than a subject. Symbolism, narrative, and visual metaphor built into the frame from the start. If you have a concept, this is where it lives.
Editorial
Story-driven photography built for publication, portfolio, or independent art direction. Shot with a sequence in mind — each image contributes to a larger body of work.
Mixed Media
Photography that incorporates other visual elements — set design, projection, practical effects, or post-production compositing. The camera is one tool in a larger creative process.

Common Questions
Creative Session FAQ
Do I need to come in with a fully developed concept?
No. Some clients arrive with a fully developed treatment and just need a collaborator to execute it. Others have a direction, a feeling, or a reference image and build the concept through the consultation. Either entry point works. The pre-session process is designed to develop the idea to the point where the session day is clear and confident.
Can we collaborate on the creative direction?
Yes. Creative sessions are inherently collaborative — the concept develops between both parties before the camera comes out. If you want complete creative control, that is respected. If you want input on concept, lighting, and post-production, that conversation is part of the process.
What level of post-production is included?
Standard editing — color, light, tone — is included at every tier. More involved retouching, compositing, or visual effects work scales with the package and can be added as a custom request. Discuss the level of post-production needed during the consultation so it is factored into the scope.
Can creative session images be used for publication or exhibition?
Commercial and editorial usage rights are included at higher tiers and available as an add-on at any tier. If you are creating work for a specific publication, gallery, or institutional context, mention this at booking so the license and image specifications are set up correctly.
How is a creative session priced compared to other session types?
Creative sessions follow the same four-tier structure as all other sessions. Scope and complexity that go beyond standard session requirements — extensive set design, multi-location shoots, long post-production timelines — may be quoted as custom projects. Reach out with the concept and we will give you an honest scope.
