Volunteer Work

Some of the most important work being done in this community is being done by organizations with no budget for photography. Volunteer sessions exist to change that — one organization at a time.

The Approach

Professional
Quality.
No Invoice.

Volunteer photography does not mean reduced quality. Organizations that receive pro bono sessions get the same pre-session consultation, the same level of preparation, and the same standard of editing that applies to every paid engagement.

The types of sessions vary. It might be a headshot day for a team that has been using phone photos on their website for years. It might be coverage of a program in action. It might be environmental portraits of the people the organization serves. The format is determined by what will actually be useful to the organization.

Volunteer availability is limited by schedule and capacity. Not every request can be fulfilled, but every request is considered. Organizations with immediate needs should note that in their inquiry.
