Portrait Sessions

Group Portrait Photography

Friend groups, teams, organizations, or any collection of people marking something worth remembering together. Group sessions are run with clear direction so nobody is left standing in the wrong spot wondering what to do.

The Session

Directed.
Not Chaotic.

Group sessions work because they are structured. The consultation establishes a shot list covering the full group, smaller combinations within it, and any individual images needed. On the day, the session runs through that list with clear direction so time is not wasted on logistics.

Sessions take place on location throughout Lake County, IL and Kenosha County, WI. Location selection during the consultation factors in group size, the occasion, and the visual result you are after. The right setting makes the coordination easier and the images stronger.

Who We Photograph

Every Kind of Group

Friend Groups

Before someone moves, after a reunion, or simply because the group has not all been in the same place in too long. These sessions tend to run with the most energy.

Teams & Organizations

Sports teams, business departments, sororities and fraternities, boards and committees. Professional, cohesive imagery for any organizational context.

Graduation Groups

The people you shared that chapter with. Graduation group sessions mark the milestone and the relationships that made it matter.

Community Groups

Faith communities, neighborhood organizations, non-profits, and civic groups. Photography that gives a face to the people doing the work.

Milestone Celebrations

Reunions, anniversaries of groups, retirement send-offs. Group sessions built around a specific occasion carry a different weight than everyday portraits.

Any Other Group

If the reason people are gathered is worth documenting, bring it. The session adapts to the group, not the other way around.

Common Questions

Group Session FAQ

Is there a minimum or maximum group size?

There is no minimum and no hard maximum. Larger groups naturally require more time to photograph well — both the full group and any smaller combinations within it. Higher tiers accommodate this. The consultation is where we size the session to your group.

How do we coordinate a large group for the session?

A shot list built during the consultation handles most of the logistics. Having one person in the group serve as a coordinator on the day also helps — someone who can round people up and keep things moving. The session itself is directed so nobody needs to figure out where to stand.

Can we get both group shots and individual images?

Yes. Larger tiers have enough time to work through the full group, smaller combinations, and individual shots. This is worth clarifying at booking so the session time is structured accordingly.

What kind of groups do you work with?

Friend groups, sports teams, sororities and fraternities, business teams, community organizations, graduation groups — any collection of people marking something worth remembering. The session adapts to the energy and purpose of the specific group.

Can individual members purchase their own prints from the gallery?

Yes. The delivered gallery can be shared with the full group and individuals can order directly from it. Print release and individual ordering options are discussed at booking.
