How many people can be in a family session?
There is no cap. Sessions accommodate immediate families, extended families, and multi-generational groups. Larger groups may require a higher tier to allow enough time for both group shots and smaller combinations.
Where do family sessions take place?
On location throughout Lake County, IL and Kenosha County, WI. Parks, shorelines, urban settings, private properties, or wherever carries meaning for your family. A pre-session consultation helps narrow down the right spot for the look and feel you want.
How do we coordinate outfits for a group?
The pre-session consultation covers wardrobe. The general approach is coordinating tones rather than identical outfits — it keeps things cohesive without looking stiff. Patterns, textures, and layers all work well. Avoid logos and anything that clashes with the location palette.
What if someone in the family is not comfortable in front of a camera?
That is more common than you think and it is accounted for in how the session is run. A relaxed pace, candid-leaning direction, and a low-pressure environment tend to bring out the best in people who would rather be anywhere else. The goal is real, not performed.
How long until we receive the gallery?
Edited galleries are typically delivered within two to three weeks of the session date. Turnaround is discussed at booking and confirmed in writing so there are no surprises.
